Dragonwilds Mounts: How to Get Every Terrorbird and Carpet
The Terrorbird unlocks from The Wild Hunt, the Magic Carpet from Icthlarin's Little Helper. Plus all 17 mount variants with exact drop chances and prices.
Your first mount is the Terrorbird, the reward for finishing The Wild Hunt in Fellhollow. The Magic Carpet comes later, partway through Icthlarin's Little Helper in the Umbral Sands, and 17 more variants drop from enemies, sit in chests or are sold by three traders.

The Wild Hunt. Vannaka gives the quest, or it starts when you pick up a Primordial Heart. Kill Nature Spirits near Fellhollow’s willow groves and bring three of their hearts to Vannaka. The data has 5 Nature Spirit spawns, in Silverthorn Keep, Emberwood, Dragons’ Run, Witchwillow Range and Hope’s Fall, each with 120 health. Handing in the hearts gives the Terrorbird and 50 Soul Fragments.
Icthlarin’s Little Helper. The Magic Carpet unlocks on the step “Travel to Moon Garou camps, find their elders, and earn their trust to gain their Mirror Lenses”. The same hand-in gives you the Alcarrid Mirror Lens and a Moon Garou Pack (Camp A), so the carpet arrives with that lens.

The other 17 mount items unlock visual variants: the item text reads “Grants access to a visual mount variant”. Use the item to add the variant to your collection. They change the look, not the mount.

Fellhollow drops (Tier 5)
Springdown Runner, Grassfoot Screecher and Leafwood Strider share every source. Each is a separate 1% roll on:
- Green Dragon and Blightscale the Lesser Green Dragon
- Zogre and Ulgo the Zogre
- Soulstone Sentinel, in the Spectral Room
- Fuzan
So one kill of any of these has three 1% chances at a variant. All three are also in the loot of the 43 Tier 5 world chests in Fellhollow and the chests of the three power level 5 vaults: Kalistrakthen, Skekven and Vekchenven Kara.
Dowdun Reach drops (Tier 6)

Tok-Xil has 8 spawns across the Burning Spire, Dunes of Uzzer and Manafem Plains, so Uzzerian Umber is the easier carpet to farm.
Getting the currencies
- Soul Fragments: Green Dragons and Blightscale drop 40 to 50, Zogres 20, and The Wild Hunt itself pays 50.
- Infernal Fragments: each Blue Dragon drops 40 to 50. Ash piles give 1 or 2.
- Garou Chit: each Moon Garou camp pack holds 300, and Icthlarin’s Little Helper, The Mirror Crack’d, The Dig Site and Mark Day pay 200 each.
